Training

Know Overdose Nevada County provides free training on a range of topics, including:

  • Narcan™ and Fentanyl Test Strips – Training on how to use Narcan™ and/or fentanyl test strips. Includes information about opioids, fentanyl, signs of an overdose and how to administer Narcan™ and fentanyl test strips.  
  • Dismantling Stigma – Explores the definition of stigma; the forms, elements and functions of stigma; and impact of stigma on people who use drugs through interactive discussions.
  • Harm Reduction – Introduction to the foundations of harm reduction. Explores the principles of harm reduction and harm reduction services through interactive discussions.

We are happy to accommodate training requests from individuals, groups and organizations of any size. They are always free and we are happy to accommodate your group’s scheduling needs.
